Take-Back and Recycling in the EU - WEEE
As a manufacturer of components for factory and process automation, Kurt J. Lesker Company GmbH is subject to the requirements of the EU Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). This directive regulates the placing on the market and taking back of electronic products. It is important to us to comply with this legal obligation in order to promote the take-back of WEEE and therefore protect the environment.
We cooperate with the service company "Recycling Network Europe AG" (RENE AG), which supports us in complying with the requirements of the EU Directive and its country-specific implementations. Through the cooperation with RENE AG, we can provide our customers with a Europe-wide network of take-back programs that collect WEEE and recycle it professionally. If you wish to return your KJLC products purchased from Kurt J. Lesker Company GmbH, please contact WEEE@lesker.com.
Important Notes on Recycling
Electrical and electronic products can have a negative impact on the environment and human health if not disposed of properly. Therefore, they must be collected separately at the end of their life cycle and disposed of in a specific way. In accordance with the EU Directive on WEEE, this is indicated by the symbol of the crossed-out trash can, which is printed on every Kurt J. Lesker Company GmbH branded product. In addition, the black bar underneath this symbol indicates that the product was placed on the market after 08/13/2005.
Like electrical and electronic products, the substances contained in batteries and luminaires (lamps) can have a negative impact on the environment and human health if not disposed of properly. We therefore ask you to remove batteries and luminaires (lamps) from the products and to dispose of them properly.
